Conditions

MLTAQ has committed $6,000 in total for this special funding with each successful member being able to access a maximum of $1,000 of funding.

All applicants to the Special Funding Grant must be members of the MLTAQ. Applicants must agree to all terms and conditions and submit a completed application form by 5 May 2023.

To accept a grant, a successful member must:

  • agree to attend the whole conference and
  • provide an article of substance of at least 500 words on the most valuable aspect of the Conference for them (or similar), no later than one month after the completion of the conference. The article would be able to be published in the MLTAQ Journal.

Should both terms not be met, the recipient will be required to repay the full grant amount of $1,000.

The grant will be accessed in two parts:

  • early bird registration has been made in the name of ‘MLTAQ’. Successful applicants will be assigned one of early bird registrations and
  • the remainder of the funding ($425.00) will be as a contribution to the reimbursement for either airfare and/or accommodation in Perth.

Process

The process will be managed by members of the MLTAQ Executive Committee who will not be applying for the grant. All applicants will receive acknowledgement of receipt of application form.  All applications will be reviewed in terms of prior grant receipt, with those who have not received a grant previously, being given higher priority. Successful recipients will be notified soon after.

The amount awarded as a reimbursement will be paid upon the production of tax invoices for airfare or accommodation. The reimbursement component may be paid before the conference.

Should all terms (full attendance at conference and submission of article) not be met, the grant recipient will be required to repay the full grant amount of $1,000.
